Homeopathy

The art of Homeopathy has, for over 200 years, guided the body back to what it was naturally designed to be – healthy! However, homeopathy has been the centre of much debate since it’s conception over 200 years ago and this debate has once again hotted up in England. Unfortunately, many people feel confused about what homeopathy is. This mini ‘101 of Homeopathy’ will hopefully answer some of your questions and maybe even open an alternate avenue to your path of healing.

Homeopathy = Homoios Pathos (Similar Suffering/Disease)
‘Like Cures Like’

In other words, if a substance can cause a condition in a healthy person, then it has the ability to heal that condition in a sick person. This is the heart of Homeopathy.

This concept, practiced for thousands of years worldwide, was finally documented in the 5th Century by the father of Western medicine, Hippocrates. Paracelsus also believed in prescribing a ‘similar’ single remedy at a time. Further researching and expanding on these principles was Dr. Samuel Hahnemann who became known as the father of Homeopathy.

How Does Homeopathy Work?
Your body’s Vital Force is key to Homeopathy. The Vital Force is common to cultures worldwide; in China it is known as “Chi”, India as “Prana”, and to Russian scientists as “Bioplasma” etc. This Vital Force is considered central to life and central to the manifestation of health and disease. It is what animates; without it, there would be no life.

The homeopathic way therefore is to recalibrate the Vital Force of the body, directing it towards its natural state of health. This response may be immediate, especially of acute cases, or it may take a little longer for those chronic conditions.

What is a Homeopathic Remedy and How Do I Take It?
Homeopathic remedies are made from many substances including plants and minerals. Made into tiny pills or liquid tinctures, homeopathic remedies are then dissolved into water. These remedies have no flavour and do not interact with other medications.

Who can use Homeopathy?
Due to compatibility with other medicines and ease of taking the remedies, anybody can feel safe in using homeopathy. This makes homeopathy ideal for babies, children, people adverse to the taste of medicines or to swallowing tablets, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, the elderly, and people taking prescription medication as homeopathic remedies do not interact with such medicines.

Homeopathy is considered so safe and effective, that even the Queen of England relies upon the services of her personal Homeopath!
